Your own charter yacht gives you the privacy and the BLUE WORLD lead boat, with your lead crew gives you the security. Sail trough the day with your wife, close friends or your family. Anchor in a nice quiet bay for swimming, snorkeling or just enjoying the sun. In the evening enjoy an international group, and share your experiences over a great dinner in one of the local taverns, overlooking the harbor, with the other members of the flotilla. SERVICE

On the BLUE WORLD lead yacht there is your flotilla leader. Every morning your leader organizes a meeting, for all skippers. He will inform you about the weather conditions, the route, possible lunchtime anchorages and the techniques of the Mediterranean mooring. Anything you forgot, you can always check on the VHF. Once you arrive at the meeting point your lead crew will help you to moor and secure a safe spot in your new anchorage. They are your link with local people and facilities and attractions on shore. You can get information about sightseeing, shopping, and nice restaurants. Your Blue world crew personal feels responsible about your enjoyment of the holiday and the smooth running of the flotilla. They give you a complete service, don't hesitate to use it

SAILING AREAS

The basic ingredients for a sailing holiday are: a great climate, beautiful islands, azure blue waters, nice people, lots of history, good food, great company. THESE are the flotillas of BLUE WORLD SAILING HOLIDAYS in GREECE. With over five thousand years of civilization, there is plenty to see in this land of myths and legends. To experience this blue world, we chose two sailing areas for your flotilla sailing holiday, each area with its own beauty and culture. From our base in Athens, Marina Kalamaki you can start your holiday into the Saronic and Argolic Gulf. This route brings you away from the big city close to nature, and a lot of archaeological highlights like the ancient theatre of Epidavros, the historical city Mycene with Agamemnon's tomb, the old capital Nafplion with his beautiful castle, and picturesque islands like Aegina, Hydra, Spetses and Poros. From our base on Lefkas, the route brings you into the Ionian islands situated along the west coast of Greece. Culture, color and melody closely bind these islands. Because of the mixture of civilizations that have passed trough at various times, these islands are quite different from those of the Aegean. Their traditional architecture , the picturesque harbors with the fish taverns, the bright green scenery and the crystal clear sea will make you remember times that have gone. Visit picturesque villages on Cephalonia,Ithaka or Meganissi or more lively towns on Lefkas and small islands like Kastos and Kalamos. With the freedom of a yacht you can easily get to places which are completely inaccessible by road. No matter which sailing area you choose you will share experiences of a lifetime. Your average daily sail of 15 - 20 miles gives you enough time to swim, snorkel, visit remote bays, or spend more time at your destination. We always keep in mind that the weather runs the itinerary and sometimes your leaders might have to change the rooting to ensure safety.

EXPERIENCE

There must be at least one person certified on board. If a formal diploma is not available, a proof of mileage endorsed by a yacht club should be submitted, letters from other charter companies are accepted. If you can not fulfill the requirements a professional skipper can be supplied for a fee.

THE YACHTS

Choose any yacht from our fleet and join the flotilla program , check the prices in EURO  and add an extra EURO 200/week for the flotilla services and join the Flotilla for one or two weeks.

SARONIC GULF FLOTILLA ITINERARY

DAY 1 AIRPORT - KALAMAKI

Arrival at the airport and transfer to the Marina Kalamaki ( 60 min. ) where your yacht will be waiting for you. The flotilla leader assists you in the orientation and check-inn of your yacht. By the end of the day you will have met and been introduced to the rest of the group

DAY 2 KALAMAKI - AIGINA 21 sm

Your first contact with the blue waters of the Aegean takes you in about 3 1/2 hours to the main town of the island Aegina. Do not forget to try the famous pistasios !

DAY 3 AIGINA - POROS 14 sm

Today you sail 14 sm to the green island of Poros, a lively place with neo-classic architecture, nice taverns and shops

DAY 4 POROS - ERMIONI 24 sm

After a good breakfast a beautiful run to Ermioni. Ermioni is a little village with very little tourism but a lot of local flair.

DAY 5 ERMIONI - SPETSES 17 sm

A breather, the short distance gives us the time to stop at the deserted island Dokos, before we head on to Spetses. The mix of the old narrow streets with the beautiful mansions makes Spetses a place to walk and wander around.

DAY 6 SPETSES - P.ASTROS 20 sm

You leave the Saronic Gulf and cross to the southeast Peloponese. Today's meeting point is Paralion Astros, a traditional peloponese village. A walk up to the castle gives you a great view over the Argolic Gulf.

DAY 7 P. ASTROS - NAFPLION 12 sm

Today, you cross the Argolic Gulf to the town of Nafplion

DAY 8 FREE DAY

Full of possibilities. Berthcharterguests who joined the flotilla for 8 days unfortunately have to leave the yacht. Public transportation can bring you back to Athens. For the other guests; you can sail the short distance to TOLO , for enjoying the beach, eat at the waterfront taverns or just enjoy a frappe coffee. A good land alternative could be a visit at the historical city MYCENE, or the old theatre of EPIDAURUS, or just stay in NAFPLION to relax and shop around or visit the fort PALAMIDI, you have to climb only 999 steps to get there

DAY 9 NAFPLION - O. DREPANO 10sm

The bay of Ormos Drepano is your escape for privacy and relaxing in a quiet surrounding

DAY 10 O. DREPANO - PORTO HELI 21 sm

All the boats meet each other in one of the beautiful bays of Porto Heli

DAY 11 PORTO HELI - HYDRA 18 sm

In the morning there is enough time for a refreshing jump in the waters surrounding your boat, before we take of to Hydra, the most impressive island of the Saronic Gulf. Many photographer and painter have loved the little harbor of Hydra.

DAY 12 HYDRA - POROS 16 sm

You sail trough the narrow channel of the Peleponese and the anchorage for the night is one of the bays of the island Poros. In the evening you can have a great meal in one of the taverna's ashore with the other members of the flotilla.

DAY 13 POROS - PERDIKA 14 sm

Once more to the island Aegina, but this time you will dock in Perdika, a traditional fishing village in the south of the island.

DAY 14 PERDIKA -KALAMAKI 21 sm

For the last time you have to raise your sails, and in the afternoon you will dock again in the marina of Kalamaki in Athens. A tip for the evening is a visit to PLAKA in Athens, the oldest neighborhood under the Acropolis.

DAY 15 KALAMAKI - AIRPORT 60 Min

Today you have to say goodbye to your flotillaleaders and your new made friends. We hope to see you again on one of our blue world flotilla sailing holidays.
