At FYLY Yachting, we’ve always believed that the best way to explore the sea is by protecting it. That’s why we’ve partnered with Green Sail and officially become Green Sail Footprint verified, a step that allows us to actively measure, improve, and share our environmental impact across our fleet.
Measuring What Matters
With the Green Sail Footprint rating system, we now track key sustainability indicators such as CO₂ emissions, fuel consumption, water use, and waste management aboard each yacht. This system has enabled us to understand where we stand and where we can improve.
Our Green Wave fleet is Green Sail verified, and we are now able to track our CO₂ emissions in order to further improve our practices. Armed with this insight, we’ve already taken meaningful steps:
- Our welcome packs on board are as sustainably packed as possible.
- We provide tote bags for our guests so they can use them for grocery shopping and skip plastic bags.
- Installed solar panels.
- Installed water makers.
- Installed inverters for better energy efficiency.
- Introduced eco-friendly cleaning products (Korres).
- Educated sailors and reminded them to recycle to reduce single-use plastic aboard.
- Enhanced waste separation and recycling practices.
- Improved energy efficiency through system upgrades.
- Informed our sailors on how they can sail even more sustainably.
- Provided LARQ water bottles so they can refill and have cool water on board.
These actions have reduced resource consumption and improved the experience for guests who value mindful travel.
Crew Training & Education
Every member of our crew is committed to completing Green Sail’s online environmental courses. This ensures our team is up to date with sustainable sailing practices and ready to support guests in minimizing their footprint while onboard.
Communicating with Our Guests
We're transparent about our environmental goals. Through our Instagram, newsletters, and onboard briefings, we share updates, tips, and sustainability practices. Guests can now make informed choices, including choosing yachts based on their sustainability rating.
